Movements that help alleviate the pain of stiff, sore and achy hips, lower back and legs.

Lower back, hip and leg ache can put a real dampener on your day/week and general mood especially if you have been suffering with it for a long time.


You may have accepted this pain as a sign of 'getting older' or have an old niggle that you haven't done anything about and go about your day as best you can whilst ignoring the issues that your body is telling you about.


Sore hips, lower back and the painful dull shooting pain down the leg (Sciatica) is experienced by many - it is a very common problem. This is mostly happening because we are always in a sitting position. We sit down to eat, work, drive and to relax. Being in this position means that your front hip flexors (these are like suspenders, they attach the hip to the legs) are shortened (relaxed) and your back suspenders are stretched longer to suit that seated position.


To help the hips feel better we need to start moving by working out the range of motion with exercises that help maintain mobility and flexibility to help improve joint function. Range of motion is how far you are able to move your joints in different directions.


Watch this video for a full routine that will help you gently move through your full range of motion. Regularly moving your joints can help reduce pain, keep your joints flexible and improve your strength, balance and posture.
